It was a relatively quiet week for me on the photography front this week. Work is still busy and I had to take an extra day off in order to drop the car off at the mechanic to troubleshoot a check engine light. All is well, and the car is in top shape, so I have no excuses for not going on any future photo adventures.
I went to the Iao Needle on Monday to get a few long exposures. The park doesn’t open until 7 (ish…this is Maui), so the sun was already hitting the valley walls and casting harsh shadows by the time I got set up in the stream. Although the light wasn’t the best, it was fantastic to have the place to myself for about an hour, so I just waited patiently until the clouds gave me something to work with.
We were able to take a few neighborhood walks this week. With our busy schedules that is a rare thing, but it was lovely to stroll around our backyard and see familiar faces.
